Tice Hill

2018/Ghent, NY

The Tice Hill residence exhibits a modern design, where the off-white walls are offset by an onyx concrete floor.  The floors were ground to ensure an even, uniform look and polished to a high-gloss sheen. A black oxide pigment was added to achieve the color the architect desired.  A densifier was applied to the floor, which deeply penetrates the slab, curing and hardening the concrete. This proprietary method of sealing the floor eliminates the need for topical sealants that dissolve and wear over time.  The final product is a durable and resilient base with a lit-from-within look.
